Hi there! My name is Amanda Hosmer. I was born and raised in Spokane, WA, and after a brief stay in Seattle to get my BA in Architectural Design and French at the University of Washington, I’m back in my hometown.
I believe that architecture should work with the site and the surrounding contexts to create a space within a landscape rather than simply on top of it that serves the client, but also the environment and community around it.
Awards and Achievements:
Work featured on UW Architecture Undergraduate Student Work Archive for Autumn 2020 and Winter 2021
Studio work featured UW Architecture End of the Year Show 2021
Member of Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society (UW College of Built Environ-ment Chapter)
UW Dean’s List Recipient for every academic quarter of undergraduate degree
2021 Dean’s Medal Nominee in Humanities (French)
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Achievement Scholar (2017-2021)
I have been interested in architectural design ever since I was a child, when my dad and mom designed our unique home with Copeland Architecture & Construction. I would fawn over and play with this old matboard study model of that home when I was little.
